Project
A cutting-edge shipping and fulfilment service’s brand and website were designed by us.
Client
ShipDaddy is a cutting-edge business that offers shipping and fulfilment services to other, smaller, but rapidly expanding e-commerce companies and brands. These companies sell products online but are unable to handle the fulfilment process on their own. Shipping products directly to customers and repalletting inventory when it needs to be shipped in bulk are two ways that ShipDaddy solves this problem. So that their customers can concentrate on other parts of growing their businesses, the service handles all the necessary shipping tasks.
Process
The harmonious blend of friendliness and seriousness was one overarching direction to consider throughout the design process. ShipDaddy is an incredibly open and friendly company that tackles serious challenges. Working on branding and user experience simultaneously on the web ensured a thorough and uniform approach to design across all of the company’s channels of communication with the intended audience.
Logo Creation
A cool, approachable, and friendly logo was what the clients were going for. Instead of dealing with a faceless shipping company, ShipDaddy customers should have felt like they were collaborating with a business partner. Plus, it’s more than just a shipping service; it’s a full-fledged consulting firm that aids companies in optimising their logistics and shipping strategies for online sales. Developing a mascot that could represent the message across a variety of marketing objectives and initiatives while also making brand communication with clients more personal and emotive was the best course of action.
The conventional steps of brainstorming, research, sketching, and finally, digital polishing were all part of the creative process. Based on the likeness of the chief operating officer (COO), Tubik developed a charming and approachable brand identity with an emphasis on people. A humanoid character, the mascot was personable and humorous while still maintaining an appropriate level of seriousness and maturity.
The finished logo featured a mascot and a typographic element with the company name displayed in a strong and legible font. Because they work well in both digital and print media, the primary colors—blue, yellow, and red—were include in the colour palette.
Web Designer
A colour scheme representative of the company’s identity was consider throughout the website’s design process. Since the mascot would serve as the primary means of communication, it was determined to incorporate it into the website extensively and use it to illustrate the majority of the content and functions. In order to accomplish this, twenty-plus distinct ShipDaddy designs were created, each tailored to a specific section or block of the website. Branded stickers were another use for them.
Mascot Motion: Webflow APNG with Motion
We opted to bring the mascot to life with animation on every page of the website to create an engaging, dynamic, and memorable user experience and to unlock the full potential of the character.
Rather than using the standard GIF format, all animations were create in the APNG format for a number of reasons:
superior picture quality for the same size (check out the samples here)
Webflow and APNG work well together, and APNG is support on both desktop and mobile devices, so the user experience is consistent regardless of the platform.
Critical Points
Webflow now has three additional breakpoints designed for large monitors. The website now also works on mobile devices and tablets, and you can change the width to 1280px, 1440px, or 1920px. Because of that, we were able to be even more versatile when it came to tweaking the initial screens of every page to make them look more uniform and proportional, even on the biggest screens.
Error 404 Website
In the event that a visitor encounters the 404 error page due to a broken or out-of-date link, they are treat to an entertaining animation to liven up the experience. That promotes an amicable communication environment and mitigates the impact of dealing with an error. A clear call to action button and well-organized visual hierarchy make it easy for visitors to find and complete the desired action.
Blog
Complete blogs with features like categories, author pages, search, subscription, and more can be easily create in Webflow. One major advantage of having a blog on a business website is the ability to boost organic traffic. By posting regularly and including relevant links in the articles, you can achieve this.
