1. Moisturize Your Locs

2. Bleach Your Hair

3. Deep Condition

4. Wash Your Dreads Thoroughly

5. Apply Wax Or Conditioner To Your Locs

7. Mix The Hair Dye

8. Color Your Locs

Once the color is mixed properly, use a tint brush and apply it evenly on our dreadlocks. You can also dip your dreadlocks in the color mixture and scrunch them with gloved hands. Don’t worry if dreadlocks get colored inside; just aim to apply the color on the entire head. 

9. Let Your Locs Rest For A While

10. Wash Your Locs

Rinse all the color out of the dreads; it can take 1 to 2 washes. Use a neutralizing shampoo like Isopluse, ORS Olive Oil, or Hawaiian Silky Neutralizing shampoo to repair any damage caused by color. You can also condition and moisturize your locks with your favorite moisturizing oil. Once the dreadlocks are clean, retwist them how you like and continue with your new style.
