9 Best Marvel Snap Cards For A Jean Grey Deck
Add these Marvel Snap cards to your Jean Grey deck to make it complete.
Playing Marvel Snap is mostly about getting to two out of three places, and the best way to do that is to have more power than your opponent. It’s not always about how powerful a card is, though. Sometimes it’s about stopping your opponent from playing.
Some cards, like Jean Grey, make your opponent play in a way that isn’t as good as it could be. She is also very powerful, which can help you a lot if you are playing her. If you know what cards to pair her with, she can be hard to learn but also fun to play.
Jean Grey
Jean Grey’s ability says that both players must play their first card on her spot, if they can. Since she’s the first card with this explanation, her ability won’t work if you play her in a place that’s flooded.
You can play her best when the board is empty or when you see your opponent getting ready to play, like when they set up a Deadpool in a destroy deck. She also always gives you the upper hand in empty spaces; if your goal is to fill that lane quickly, you already have a card in that spot by default.
Nebula
Already, Nebula has a lot of cards that work well with her. Jean is one of them. As long as the deck is locked down, both of them work fine, and Jean gives Nebula some choices for where to put them. You can end Marvel Snap by putting Nebula and Jean in the same place.
You won’t get the most out of Nebula, but they’ll have to fill it up quickly, and later turns will be better because of it. To really win, you should play Nebula somewhere else, making it hard for your opponent to play on both Jean and Nebula.
Wasp
Plus, adding Wasp gives you a lot of choice if you want to add Jean Grey to any kind of deck without giving up much. When Jean is played on turn four, it’s hard to use the very strong five-cost cards, but that’s not a problem for you with Wasp.
In a Jean Grey deck, Wasp is useful because it’s a free card that lets you play it first and then do whatever else you wanted to do that turn. You could add the High Evolutionary package to make things even more exciting. That would make the Wasp even better.
Jeff
Since lock-down decks have a lot of cards that work well with Jean, it makes sense that Jeff would show his little jaws on the list. Jeff is great for your deck and a good way to fight other decks because nothing can stop him from being played anywhere.
Both cards have three power, so lock-down isn’t the only place they can go. You could also add them to a Cerebro deck, which has gone from being a joke to a real competitive build. Bast is what makes it work, but Jeff and Jean take it to the next level.
Dazzler
In her first form, Dazzler was almost impossible to play, but in her current form, she’s a great addition to decks that need to fill in gaps. It helps decks with Jean Grey because she makes up for its flaws; sometimes Jean ends up countering you more than your opponent.
Most of the time, it’s better not to play her in those scenarios. With Dazzler, on the other hand, even a bad play can help another area because all you need to do to get the pop star is fill up everything. One good thing about them is that they work well with other cards because they are ongoing and cost three. If you can add one, you can probably add the other as well.
Mojo
Mojo is hard to play properly when there are no places to support her. It could be a treat at the last minute, but there are better things to do on your fifth or sixth turn. Most decks don’t use her because it’s too easy to stop her and too hard to play Survivor IO for the little power she gives.
Mojo comes back to life when Jean Grey is played on turn three. Even if she was played on turn two. This is because they have to play into Mojo’s position. Using a Spectrum play as your last card can be a great way to end this kind of deck.
Brood
By calling in three Broodlings to fill a lane, Brood works well with Jean Grey. Putting a Brood into a Jean position on turn four lets you play any card on the other cards. While your opponent has to stay in one place and play. When you added a Goose in a different lane, you locked them down without even trying.
If they put a lot of power into the Brooded lane and you need to power it up, you have a lot of choices. Even if you can’t beat that spot, you probably can beat the others. Since you had more turns than your opponent to build up the other lanes.
Silver Surfer
As you might expect, there are a lot of strong three-cost cards that work well together. Silver Surfer will always be the card that holds them all together on the same deck. The deck has been changed many times, but it keeps getting stronger with each meta change and balance patch.
Jean already works really well with other three-cost cards like Dazzler and Brood. When you add the Surfer, Patriot, and Mystique, you have an even better set. You could then change the deck in any way you wanted. Such as adding Sera for a powerful last turn or having Odin in your hand for a surprise double Surfer.
Valkyrie
Keep Valkyrie in mind whenever you want to fill up the other team’s side of a spot. When you play against flat power cards, she can quickly make things even or win Marvel Snap for you. When you’re after Jean Grey, you don’t even need to plan ahead because they are already sucked in.
Valkyrie can be used to win the last turn or even the score, based on what you need and what your choices are at the time. If you have Hood in your deck as well, you could play him and Jean on turn five, then Valk and the Demon for a simple win. Don’t forget that Valk won’t work on cards like Darkhawk does.
Professor X
Jean’s teacher had to be on the list. Professor X is the master of shutdown and has so much power that he can take over unusable areas like Death’s Domain by himself. In the traditional way of playing him, Daredevil is used, which makes it clear that an X play is coming on turn five.
Jean can make that play very sneaky. With a Brooded Jean position, you can drop X anywhere, and it’s likely that they won’t be able to answer. You can also play Wasp on the Jean area on turn five and then X somewhere else. No one thinks the Wasp will turn into Professor X. So Snap ahead of time since they are likely to run away.
